Our Story
In the heart of San Francisco's Mission District, Cem found himself in a beautiful city but also became aware of its struggles. Having recently graduated from UC Davis with dreams of making a positive impact, Cem couldn't ignore the stark contrast between the vibrant energy of the city and the visible struggles of its opioid crisis.
Driven by compassion and a desire for change, Cem and Michaela decided to channel their energy into making a difference. Inspired by the spirit of the Mission District, they founded "Mission In Mission," a foundation dedicated to addressing substance use disorder and the associated challenges in their community.
